Internal - 2+ words in line (I went to town to buy a gown) Identical - Same word is used Feminine - 2+ syllables that rhyme (Hacking & Backing)
Meter
A unit of rhythm in poetry, the pattern of beats
Iambs = Unstressed/stressed
Trochee = Un/Un/stressed (Twas the night before Christmas)
Iambic Pentameter
10 syllable line accented on every second beat (da DUM, da DUM, +3)
EX: And I do love thee: therefore go with me; I’ll give thee fairies to attend on thee.
