And so with nothing left he plot the Essex Rebellion.

Phillip made a plan- 151 ships filled with weapons for landing in England.
The English strike first- Spain waited for soldiers to arrive in the Netherlands. The English took action and panicked the Spanish and the organised Armada went into chaos.
8th August English fired constantly from 100 meters the Spanish ships were badly damaged but none were sunk. Spanish tried to return home but English chased them.
A storm through the armada off course. They had awful conditions and had to go round northern England- 65 ships returned.
