An Ohm is the unit of electrical resistance in the International System of Units (SI). It is represented by the symbol Ω and is named after the German physicist Georg Simon Ohm. One Ohm is equal to the resistance of a conductor in which a current of one ampere is produced by a potential difference of one volt.
