Farming in such a way to protect the environment, aid and expand natural resources and to make the best use of nonrenewable resources.

What is nitrogen fixation?
A biological process in which the nitrogen gas is converted into a usable form for plants and other microbes.
What is photosynthesis? Describe the steps and how it assists with plant growth and agriculture.
It splits carbon dioxide into carbon and oxygen, adds water and forms carbohydrates (starches and sugars).
What are the steps to cell division (including mitosis)?
Interphase, prophase, metaphase, Anaphase, Telophase, and cytokinesis.
Interphase
Where a cell spends most of its time, it grows, replicates its chromosomes, and prepared for cell division.
Prophase
The chromosomes condense and centrosomes move to opposite sides of the nucleus, initiating formation of the mitotic spindle.
Metaphase
The nucleus dissolves and the cell’s chromosomes condense and move together, aligning in center of the dividing cell.
Anaphase
The sister chromatids separate from each other and are pulled towards opposite ends of the cell.
Telophase
The cell is nearly done dividing, and it starts to re-establish its normal structures as cytokinesis takes place.
Cytokinesis
Splits the parents cell into two identical daughter cells.
How does reproduction work in animals?
During Meiosis males produce sperm in the testes and females produce egg cells in the ovaries.

A process where a single cell divides twice to produce four cells containing half the original amount of genetic information.

How does reproduction work in a plant?
The anther is the part of the stamen that contains pollen. Pollen contains the male gametes. Pollen must be moved to a part of the pistil called the stigma for reproduction to take place.
Female plant anatomy
The pistil which is made up of the stigma, style, ovary, and ovule.
