. 3) All female celebrants shout "ololyge" to mark the transition from life to death.

4. Blood from the animal is allowed to cover the altar.

5. Priestess would pray and then instruct the attendants to carve the meat.

6. Some meat burned for the god, and the remainder cooked.

7. Communal feast ensued, meat was luxury for many.
