-3T vegetable oil
1C orzo -2C onion (diced) -8C water -8T chicken base -4C converted rice -1/2C chopped parsley
Step 2
Heat medium sized sauce pan over high heat
Step 3
Add oil and orzo, cook until dark brown but not black
Step 4
add onions and sauté for one minute, add rice
step 5
dissolve chicken base into water
step 6
bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer
step 7
cover and cook for 20 minutes
step 8
after 20 minutes, turn off heat, and leave covered for 5-10 minutes
step 9
put pilaf into full 6" hotel pan, add parsley and mix in with pilaf
