  • What is Ratification?

    • The constitution was created by James Madison, also known as the “Father of the Constitution”

    • The Virginia Plan suggested a two-chamber legislature

    • The Bill of rights were introduced by James Madison on June 8th, 1789

    • On August 24th, the house passed 17 amendments

    • What is an Amendment?

      • An amendment is a change or addition made to a law, document, or constitution to improve it.

  • Federalist Papers:

    • Why are they so important?

      • They help explain and convince people why the constitution was a good idea.
