Area of a circle: pi multiplied by radius squared

Circumference of a circle: pi multiplied by diameter or 2 multiplied by pi multiplied by radius

Area of a triangle: base of triangle multiplied by height of triangle divided by two

Surface area of a cube: 6 multiplied by a side squared

Surface are of a rectangular prism: 2 multiplied by length multiplied by width plus 2 multiplied by length multiplied by height plus 2 multiplied by width multiplied by height

Surface area of a cylinder: 2 multiplied by pi multiplied by radius multiplied by height plus 2 multiplied by pi multiplied by radius squared

Pythagorean Thereoum: base squared plus length squared equals hypotenuse squared

Numbers

Rational numbers: includes whole numbers, integers, positive and negative fractions, decimals as well as repeating decimals

Irrational numbers: numbers that cannot be written as a fraction

Use PEDMAS in all equations. It is the order that you should be solving the problem.

PEDMAS: parentheses, exponents, division and multiplication (from left to right), addition and subtraction (from left to right)

A number divided by itself equals one.

All whole numbers have a power of one.

Any number divided by 0 is undefined since anything times zero would never equal anything but zero.

ex. 5 ÷ 0 = undefined since 0 x 5 can never = 5

0 divided by any number is 0.

ex. 0 ÷ 5 = 0 since 0 x 5 = 0

When dividing or multiplying by a negative to solve an equation, you must flip the inequality sign.
