3.6 Molecular Compounds:
We have to chart how to name a compound without knowing what category it falls in.
If the compound is ionic, words, real-life nomenclature is a bit messier than the categorized terminology we just molecular, or an acid.
Acids must be in the solution.
The name is M03_TRO4371_05_SE_C03_090-137v 3.0.4.
2 is made of metal and nonmetal.
The box labeled "IONIC" is on the far left side of the flowchart.
SO2 has only nonmetals.
Determine if the acid contains oxygen.
Oxygen is contained in roxacids.
It is an oxyacid.
CoF2 has a metal and a nonmetal.
Figure 3.7 tells you if the metal forms one type of ion or more than one type.
