Semiotics is the study of signs and symbols and their use or interpretation. In the context of visual arts, it refers to the analysis of the ways in which artists use symbols and signs in their work to convey meaning or messages to viewers. This can include things like the use of color, shape, form, and other visual elements to create symbolism or to evoke certain emotions or ideas. Semiotics can be a useful tool for understanding and interpreting art, as it helps to uncover the underlying meanings and messages that may not be immediately apparent to the viewer.

Semiotics
Feminism looks at what the artist's values and attitudes towards women. Generally, It shows how women have been marginallized or discriminated economically, politically, socially and psychologically. Additionally, Feminist criticism is also concerned with less obvious forms of marginalization such as the exclusion of women writers from the art canon which gave the tendency to underrepresent the contribution of women artists.
Feminism
adopts the methods of "reading" employed by Freud and later theorists. we go back to the artist and look for its background. It argues that artworks are like dreams that reveal the artist's unconscious desires and anxieties. Like psychoanalysis, It seeks evidence of unresolved emotions, conflicts, guilts, ambivalences and others within the artwork. The artist's childhood trauma's, family life, fixations and conflicts will be traceable withing the artwok.
