What is a solid?

A form of matter that has a definite shape and volume. Particles do not move as freely as in other states.

What is a gas?

A state of matter with no definite shape or volume and fills its container.

What is a liquid?

A state of matter that has a definite volume but no definite shape. Particles move more freely than in solids.

What will happen to the mass of water or ice in a sealed cup left for 3 days?

mass will not change

What will happen to the mass of water or ice in an unsealed cup left for 3 days?

mass will be lower due to evaporation

good electrical conductors
