Era
a period marked by distinctive character or reckoned from a fixed point or event
Primary Source
materials that were created at the time the event occurred or materials created by those who experienced the event.
Secondary Source
materials that were created after the event, that do not come from the time period.
Sourcing
the process by which a historian analyzes/investigates/asks questions about the author of the document.
Corroborating
the process by which a historian compares multiple documents to determine points of agreement and disagreement, in order to confirm the validity of the content.
Euro-centrism
the belief that history should be told from the POV of Europeans
