What is the AP Chemistry exam format?

The exam format includes 60 multiple-choice questions, and 7 free-response questions. The exam weight is broken down 50% for the multiple choice section and 50% for the FRQ. Students are allotted 1 hour and 30 minutes to complete the multiple-choice section, and 1 hour and 45 minutes to compose their responses to the free response questions. You’ve likely covered a lot of material during your course this year, but to get a 5 on the AP exam, it’s important you understand how often each topic shows up. In this course you will participate in practical laboratory investigations to gain a firsthand experience, and utilize chemical calculations to solve a range of problems. What units are on AP Chemistry?

Unit 1: Atomic Structures and Properties
