What is spaced repetition and why use it?
Spaced Repetition is an effective learning approach to have information fully embedded in your long-term memory. With spaced repetition, you learn your material over the span of days, weeks, months, etc. (depending on when your exam is 🙂) and retain it for longer.
How does it work on Knowt?
We’ll ask you when your exam is and create a custom schedule spacing out your flashcards and questions between now and then.
Once you answer a flashcard (or a question) — the card will flip over (or the question will slide over) and show you 4 options which you can choose based on if you got the card/question right or wrong!
- I got it wrong - you didn’t understand the concept and the question/flashcard needs to be shown again soon
- Not sure - you may have gotten it right but you don’t fully understand/remember the concept and the question/flashcard needs to be shown again
- Barely got it - you got it right but you’re not confident if you understand
- Got it right! - you got it right and you’re confident you know it
Once you review all your cards/questions once, come back periodically based on when Knowt tells you to study them!
